About our boy, Reu
Reu was the glue that held us all together.
He had an incredible gift for uniting people. Whether it was his friends from home in Oxford or his friends from University in Bristol, he created a sense of community wherever he went. His circle was vast, reflecting the warmth and charisma he brought to every interaction.
Musically talented, Reu wrote songs, played guitar, and sang with a wit and creativity that left a lasting impression on everyone who heard him. His music, like him, was full of humor and heart.
In his later years, Reu’s battle with cystic fibrosis became tougher, with more time spent in the hospital. But he never let it break his spirit. He stayed upbeat, always surrounded by visitors, a sign of how deeply loved he was.
In 2018, after a long wait, Reu received a lung transplant. For a while, it felt like things were looking up. But tragically, despite initial signs of recovery, Reu passed away in 2019.
Raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is our way of honouring Reu’s memory. For us, it’s not just about fundraising—it’s about making sense of the loss of someone so full of life and potential. We miss him every day, and everything we do is a tribute to the incredible person he was.
